Shooting Process
It took HBO in total two and a half years to prepare and produce Game of Thrones. The production of the play was mainly done at HBO’s Belfast studio. Some other scenes were done in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Malta, Croatia, Iceland, and Morocco. It was also the most expensive TV series ever produced by HBO. Moreover, HBO hired language experts from the Language Creation Society to help with pronunciation, vocabulary and complex grammatical structure for Game of Thrones.
